Back in the Gulf for a Fifth Tour of duty Jon learned of his assignment
with the Blue Angels and was returned to California to begin training.
After his training in a few weeks Jon will begin traveling around the
U.S. and Hawaii. He will be assigned to "The Blue Angels" for three
and a half years, traveling all over the World.

I have include three pictures One picture is of the Blue Angels flying
in formation, another is a picture of Jon standing by a Blue Angels
jet on display at the entrance to a base he was stationed at. At the time
I took this picture Jon has been in the service just a couple of years.
Jon and I joked about him getting hooked up with the Blue Angels.
We both laughed and thought not a chance in a million.
The top picture is of Jon in his uniform he will be wearing while
serving with the flight team. Jon is highly decorated but not allowed
to wear metals while in the Blue Angel uniform. On his standard
naval uniform Jon wears on his chest a Surface Warfare Medal, an
Aviation Warfare Medal and has been awarded the "Navy Marine
Corps Achievement Medal" six times, these and several other
medals show what an outstanding job he has done the last
thirteen years.

Friends can E-mail Jon at jon.hardenburgh@navy.mil for history
